Established in 1996 as EF-YZ Betselot Higher Clinic, has within 15 years of its existence touched the lives of over 25,000 patients, a vivid testimony to its extraordinary patient care.

Now as the first ever specialized Brain and Spine Center in East Africa, Christmas International Brain & Spine hospital comprises of renowned and experienced professionals in the field of Neurosurgery with specialized training in Microsurgery and Endoscopic treatment of the nervous system.

The center is furnished with up-to-date diagnostic, intensive care and surgical instrumentation.  Almost all surgical procedures are performed with minimally invasive techniques with utmost care and delicacy with little or no damage to the brain or spinal cord surrounding the area of abnormality. Neurosurgery is a medical specialty that deals with the surgical treatment of illnesses and conditions affecting the central Nervous System (CNS: brain and spinal cord) and the peripheral Nervous System (nerve roots and peripheral nerves). It deals with a variety of conditions in children and adults. Only a few is mentioned in the following: head and spinal cord injuries, intracranial tumors and bleeding, developmental CNS malformations (including hydrocephalus and myelomeningocele), epilepsy and movement disorders, and degenerative back and neck conditions with nerve root affection.
